Description
The University of Chicago's Department of Surgery, Section of Urology, seeks full-time faculty members at any rank. The appointees will have inpatient and outpatient responsibilities to support and complement the faculty in the Section of Urology. Responsibilities will include patient care and teaching at The University of Chicago - Comer Children's Hospital and at affiliated off-site locations. Other duties will include teaching and supervision of trainees and students, and scholarly activity. Academic rank and compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) are dependent upon qualifications.
The University of Chicago Medicine has been at the forefront of medical care since 1927. Located in historic Hyde Park, the primary medical campus includes the Center for Care and Discovery, Comer Children's Hospital, Bernard A. Mitchell Hospital for adult inpatient care, and the Duchossois Center for Advanced Medicine totaling more than 550 beds in service.
Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois and Indiana, 3) be board certified or eligible by the American Board of Urology or equivalent, and 4) have completed an accredited fellowship or equivalent training in Pediatric Urology.
We especially welcome applicants with an interest in academic medicine and with experience in laparoscopic and robotic surgery.
