Horizon Farm Credit is seeking a full-time OD & Training Intern for the summer of 2025 in either our Chambersburg, PA, Mechanicsburg, PA, Frederick, MD or Westminster, MD branch location. Selected candidate will participate in a 10-12 week internship. Summer Intern hours are 8:00a.m. - 4:30p.m., Monday - Friday. Interested candidates should submit a resume, cover letter, and unofficial transcript through the application link by October 31.

Position Overview - Assist the association's organizational development and training department with key learning and development activities through the support of coordination of training initiatives, creation of training materials, execution, recording, and reporting of training initiatives with the potential of additional exposure to the exploration of the Cornerstone Learning Management System capabilities and involvement in building out workflows and learning processes within the LMS.

Areas of Responsibilities

  • Assist with the development and implementation of association-wide learning and development efforts
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts across several project workgroups to assist with development and publication of internal training materials
  • Assist training team members with coordination, execution, recording, and reporting of live and virtual training initiatives
  • Collaborate with training team members on the exploration of capabilities within the current learning management system and the building of new processes and workflows withing the learning management system
  • Assist with administrative needs of the department.

Required Qualifications & Preferred Skills
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in agriculture, business administration, learning and development, organizational development, and/or HR or a related degree with interests in adult education, organizational development, and/or leadership development.
  • Experience in agriculture is considered a plus, but not necessary
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrates creativity, strategic thinking, and thought leadership
  • Experience in Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Must be independent, motivated and adaptable
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel to and from various offices and events within Horizon Farm Credit's territory
