Primary Care, Swampscott

Our practice is located at the convenient location of 250 Paradise Road in Swampscott, MA. As a Primary Care office, we provide outstanding primary care and preventative health care to all patient populations.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a full time 40-hour dedicated Medical Assistant to support our practice onsite. Our practice is open Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm.This role includes one evening shift each week, ending at 6:00 PM, as well as participation in a Saturday rotation from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM approximately once every seven weeks.

As true partners to our nurses and providers, our Medical Assistants get the opportunity to work autonomously to the top of their education/certification while also functioning as part of the collaborative team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Functioning as a "flow manager"/ensuring efficient patient flow through the office
  • Assisting the Provider and/or Nurse with patient care during the office visit (examination, procedures, and treatments as directed)
  • Performing clinically appropriate tasks related patient panel management (phone triage, test results, prescription refill, coordination of care, etc.)
  • Maintaining neat, clean, and safe patient care areas
  • Providing an exceptional care experience by interacting with patients and their families in a professional, friendly manner consistent with their needs.


Qualifications

  • Required:
    • High School diploma/GED
    • Either BLS or Annual Manikin training including CPR and AED after 6 months of hire
  • Strongly Preferred:
    • Medical Assistant Course or diploma program or a minimum of 1 year professional experience
    • National MA Certification via AAMA, AMT, NHA, or NCCT
