Managing Director, IT Product Owner - Oracle Financial Applications

The Product Owner is a member of an agile team and manages the Information Technology (IT) product development process to ensure that Webster Bank's needs are met. Works with scrum teams to determine product features and manage product backlog items, as well as communicate with stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction. Leverages deep understanding of the capabilities and functionality of the product suite of applications, thus delivering value to the business unit. Manages a team of employees. Develops and implements production support processes. Brings significant banking technology experience and multiple specific skill sets.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES

As a member of the Agile Team, the Product Owner (PO) is responsible for Sprint planning, defining Stories, and prioritizing the Team Backlog to ensure the execution of work consistent with business priorities and goals.

Deliver Value - Possesses deep understanding of the capabilities and functionality of the product suite of applications, delivering value to the line of business.

Meet business goals - Ensure products and solutions delivered by the team meet the economic business goals jointly established by the business and technology teams

Execution and delivery - Ensure quality and timely delivery of commitments.

Customer Centricity - Understanding customer needs and translate to tasks that are achievable within the agile process.

Product Roadmap - Collect and analyze feedback from customers, stakeholders, and other teams to shape requirements, features, and end products.

Prioritization and Resource Management - Prioritize resources with a goal of ensuring the team remains focused on highest value add activities.

Technical review - Review and approve design, technical, and/or operational specifications as well as design alternatives developed by teams.

Vendor Management - Coordinates production releases with both internal and external partners. Manages associated risks effectively by producing appropriate risk mitigation plans.

Compliance - Responsible for satisfactory internal and external audits of systems by ensuring compliance with Bank's policies such as IT Governance, Information Security, and more.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in a directly related field.
  • 10+ years of Information Technology experience, at least 5 years of which were in a supervisory capacity.
  • 3 years of IT experience managing teams supporting two or more of the following functional areas - Finance, Human Resources, Corporate Responsibility and Enterprise apps.
  • Experience in implementing and managing Oracle Cloud, ERP, EPM (Fusion Suite) and other financial solutions
  • Strong IT Background with understanding of SaaS, Cloud, Databases, applications, API, Security, Testing strategy, Release and Change management.
  • Experience in delivering Enterprise solutions by managing a team of Developers, Business Analysts, architects, Scrum Masters, and app support analysts.
  • Strong knowledge of system development life cycle, client area's functions, and end-to-end delivery
  • Understanding of core banking solutions and processes
  • Strong background in managing multiple n-tier, in-house and SaaS applications
  • Excellent communication, leadership, management, and analytical skills.
  • Able to build successful relationships with all levels of staff and management.
  • Experience in product management lifecycle, background in Agile framework.
  • Familiarity with IT project management,
  • Experience in application support and delivery.
The estimated salary range for this position is $185,000.00 to $205,000.00. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
