The Opportunity

Under the general direction of the Director of Clinical Practice and Education, the Manager of Clinical Operations will be responsible for the oversight of clinical programs and operation as pertains to nursing and clinical support staff of our multispecialty ambulatory practices across the South Shore of MA.

In addition to providing organizational knowledge of clinical operating systems and processes, the Manager of Clinical Operations will also ensure all clinical staff (RNs, LPNs, MAs, and other clinical support staff) meet or exceed clinical competencies to function at the top of their license, are aligned with organization goals and objectives, and comply with all the applicable state and federal regulatory bodies.

The Manager of Clinical Operations will indirectly report to the Regional Executive Director and Regional Medical Director and collaborate with other operational leaders across the MGBMG. They will work to implement a care delivery model to enable consistent, personalized, efficient care to enhance patient's experience, support improved patient outcomes, and fosters an ongoing connection with MGBMG.

Due to the collaborative nature of the role, there is a need for on-site presence at the practices and frequent travel between the sites. The practices are located in South Weymouth, Pembroke, Hingham, Duxbury, Buzzards Bay, Scituate, and Braintree.

Qualifications

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing, MSN preferred
Experience:
  • 5 years nursing experience in relevant clinical area required.
  • Nurse management experience preferred.
  • Ambulatory health care experience preferred.
Skills:
  • Initiative and ability to work independently.
  • Flexibility and willingness to embrace change, able to adapt to the shifting demands of different situations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a sense of responsibility for one's work, e.g., proactive in identifying issues, prepared to address concerns/questions, makes recommendations for solutions.
  • Must be able to function effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and complex problem-solving skills.
  • Solid project management skills: accountability for framing the complete project plan and developing an analytical approach; strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize work.
  • Ability to conduct detailed analysis as well as distill relevant findings for presentation to high-level audience.
  • Superior analytic and problem-solving skills with a high value in data integrity and analytic accuracy.
  • Comfort in interfacing with senior level leadership and facilitating team meetings of clinical leaders and senior management.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity, operating effectively when things are not certain, or the way forward is not clear.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively at all levels of a complex organization.
  • Ability to think big picture with an appropriate level of analytical detail to create impactful deliverables.
  • Experience in implementing, tracking analyzing, and improving clinical quality measures and standard work.
  • Experience with program development implementation and evaluation.
  • Demonstrated strategic planning and execution skills required.
  • Ability to respond to emergent or stressful situations in a professional manner required.
  • Ability to maintain harmonious working relationships with physicians, advance practice clinicians, and staff while addressing complex and sensitive administrative, operational, and finance issues required.
