This position is funded by State Compensatory Education funds. The Manager, At-Risk Instructional Support is responsible for ensuring that quality educational practices are implemented to meet Texas Compensatory Education requirements: reduce any disparity in performance on assessment instruments administered under TEC, Subchapter B, Chapter 39, or disparity in the rates of high school completion between students at risk of dropping out of school and all other students.
This is a full-time REMOTE position. Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week is required. Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction during workday, typically 8am-5pm central time or as defined by the school.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential duties.
● Create and implement a structure and program that will promote consistent learning experiences across all classrooms.
● Measure and monitor program implementation and meet with academic leaders as needed.
● Create and implement professional development program for continuous learning.
● Collect and analyze data to assess the effectiveness of coaching supports and pivot as needed.
● Assist the academic team in selecting appropriate professional development that supports at-risk students.
● Facilitate frequent collaboration sessions with senior management and academic administrators to ensure Campus Improvement Plan/State Compensatory Education (CIP/SCE) plan implementation.
● Evaluate program effectiveness towards CIP/SCE goals to ensure compliancy and program success.
This position may perform other duties as assigned in alignment with the SCE program. Duties this position may not perform:
● Duties related to testing, such as test administration
● Activities related to formal teacher evaluations, including TTESS-related activities
● Activities undertaken in the role of parent liaison, community liaison, truant officer, safety officer, or court liaison required by TEC, 37.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities. The position helps oversee the work product and processes for 20-30 FTE Instructional Coaches. May assist with interviewing and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; providing feedback on performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
● Master's Degree in Education AND
● Five (5) Years of Classroom Experience AND
● Three (3) Years as an Instructional Coach AND
● Two (2) Years supervisory experience OR
● Equivalent combination of education and experience
Certificates and Licenses: Current valid Texas teaching certificate.

● Outstanding presentation and facilitation skills
● Strong interpersonal skills (communication - written and verbal, problem-solving, conflict management, collaboration) to share research-based instructional approaches and provide advice, mentoring, and coaching to teachers and administrators
● Strong organizational and planning skills
● Knowledge of and experience with relevant technology
● Proven ability in using student-level data to guide instructional decisions
● Strong pedagogical knowledge and content expertise
● Attention to detail
● Critical thinking
● Flexibility and adaptability
● Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Web proficiency.
● Ability to travel 10% of the time
● Ability to clear required background check
