Position Title: Manager, Accounts Payable

Location: Dallas, TX

Your role

Digital Realty is seeking a high performing, self-motivated Accounts Payable Manager to join our Accounting team. The Accounts Payable Manager will play a critical role in overseeing the North America accounts payable function, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments. This role is critical in maintaining strong vendor relationships, ensuring compliance with financial policies, and contributing to the overall financial integrity of the organization in partnership with the Senior Manager of Accounts Payable.

What you'll do

Accounts Payable Management:

• Lead and manage 5 accounts payable associates, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounts payable department, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on time.
• Supervise the processing of vendor bills, ensuring accuracy, proper coding, and adherence to payment terms.
• Resolve discrepancies with vendors or internal stakeholders.
• Manage the payment process, including the preparation and approval of payment batches.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements in all payment transactions.
• Maintain organized and complete documentation of all accounts payable transactions.

Vendor Management:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
• Communicate with vendors regarding payment inquiries and discrepancies.
• Assist with filing of annual form 1099s.

General Ledger and Accounting:

• Collaborate with the accounting and finance team to ensure proper coding and classification of accounts payable transactions.
• Manage and analyze AP aging report and other financial information for accounting leadership.
• Work closely with the accounting team to support the month-end and year-end close processes.

Process Improvement:

• Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements within the accounts payable function.
• Partner with Senior Manager of Accounts Payable to implement best practices and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement enhancements to the accounts payable process.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred.
• 10 + years of progressive Accounts Payable experience within a high-volume environment, with at least 4 years in a previous AP Manager role.
• Exceptional organizational skills, detail-oriented mindset, and a high sense of urgency.
• Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
• A proactive, self-directed approach with the ability to multi-task, think creatively, and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Yardi, Oracle, or similar ERP experience preferred.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with internal teams, vendors, and senior management.
• Team player with a positive attitude and a fit in our fast-paced, inclusive culture.
