Overview
Green Bay Dressed Beef, LLC, an American Foods Group Company has an opportunity for a Maintenance-Electrician at our Northland plant.

As Maintenance-Electrician,you will:

Electrician Duties

  • Install electrical wiring to equipment and fixtures following all codes.
  • Troubleshoot electrical problems and implement the solution.
  • Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
  • Inspect electrical systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
  • Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.
  • Work with outside electrical contractors on major electrical installation projects.
Maintenance Duties
  • Fill soak tank with water and lower soak belt.
  • Check ammonia compressors for ammonia leaks, oil levels, suction levels.
  • Check air compressor, kemco, boiler, and high-pressure water.
  • Check production floor to verify all production equipment is working.
  • Fix break downs (wiring, motors, welds, hydraulics, etc.)
  • Maintain waste water daff unit.
  • Do preventive maintenance (oil changes, grease, etc.).
  • Drain the soak tank and raise the soak belt.
  • Assist production as needed (training, equipment set up and break down, etc.).

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications (Required):
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Must be able to work in a variety of work temperatures warm, hot, humid, cold, wet or with slippery surfaces at varied heights in and around moving equipment and parts with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Must be able to perform the job duties with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Ability to work extended scheduled hours Sunday through Friday with daily overtime. Must be able to work overtime as required. Start times and hours vary based on production needs.
  • Must be able to successfully complete training:
    • Safety.
    • Safe Quality Food (SQF).
    • Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
    • Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP).
    • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
    • Food defense.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior maintenance/electrician experience in a USDA inspected beef,pork or poultry facility.
  • Prior production experience.
  • Work history in the last 12 months.
