Laboratory Test Automation Engineer Internship for Summer 2025

Job Description

We have a Summer Internship opportunity in our Advanced Technology Development Team.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Participate in hands-on laboratory work such as developing test plans, building test stands and validating design work in the areas of intelligent sensing, controls algorithms and electromagnetic design.
  • Support qualifications of new and existing technologies for sensors and actuators.
  • Design, procure and construct experimental test setups to execute feasibility and design verification of various technology projects in a laboratory environment.
  • Provide support for debugging and repairing electrical and mechanical systems used in the technology laboratory.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING
  • Currently enrolled in an Undergraduate or Graduate Degree program in either Mechanical, Mechatronics or Automation Engineering.
  • Able to write test scripts in Python or a related tool in support of Design Verification Testing of prototypes.
  • Able to interpret and troubleshoot electrical schematics on digital and analog PCBs.
  • Familiarity with CAD Software packages like Solid Works, CREO or related is desired.
  • Familiarity in programing languages such as C++ or related is desired.
  • Able to develop Graphical User Interfaces utilizing Python or a related tool is desired.
  • Able to learn complex systems quickly, work independently, be a team player and be self-motivated.
