ANNOUNCEMENT OF POSITION VACANCY

SUMMARY : Aligned with the larger Los Angeles (L.A.) K16 Regional convening, the East L.A. Subregional K-16 Collaborative aims to expand and enhance dual enrollment, broaden and expand early STEM outreach among female and minoritized students, facilitate transfer pipelines, and expand work-based learning opportunities. The K16 Collaborative Grant Coordinator will provide programmatic support to the grant Project Director and Co-Project Director, serve as liaison between external funder and subaward partners, and provide grant administrative support.

The ideal candidate for this role should have project management experience and a commitment to college access, parent/family empowerment and student equity outcomes.

SOME OF THE THINGS THAT YOU WILL GET TO DO (this is just a small sampling of work variety):

  • Collaborate with K-16 internal and external partners to implement establish goals within grant timeline; collect and compile data on grant activities and produce grant quarterly reports
  • Prioritize coordination of multiple grant related projects and provide administrative support to grantees
  • Plans, develops, coordinates and assesses K16 programs such as STEM outreach, summer programs, K16 pipeline activities, middle school engagement, and pathway marketing
  • Maintain K16 calendar of programs, activity records, participants serve, and general office forms
  • Monitors, audits, processes transfer, and develops grant program reporting procedures and budgets
  • Ensure knowledge of foundation and state policies, procedures, and best practices to manage grant
  • Engage in bilingual (English and Spanish) outreach activities and presentations
  • Serve on committees and project teams, record, transcribe and disseminate minutes, and follow up on action items as necessary
  • Assist in leading department student assistants
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent from an accredited four-year college or university in one of the behavioral sciences, public administration, business administration or a job-related field and
  • Two years of professional experience in one of the student services program areas or a related field. A master's degree in a job-related field may be substituted for one year of professional experience. Additional specialized and relevant experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
  • Ability to prioritize and complete tasks autonomously
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Projects (Word, Excel, Outlook),
  • Bilingual skill in English and Spanish
  • Experience with website development
PREFERRED:
  • Experience with first generation students and STEM support service programs
  • Experience with financial system - OneSolution
ADDITIONAL REQUREMENTS:
  • Must possess a valid California driver's license and auto insurance.
  • Must be able to pass a background/livescan due to working with minors
