SCIEX is seeking a Buyer to join our Procurement team! They will be responsible for the purchase of 3rd party assemblies and accessories from suppliers supporting our Sales, Service and our global distribution centers. This position will have the opportunity to learn planning functions optimizing inventory levels.

This position is part of the Purchasing team and will be onsite located either in Brea, CA, Carlsbad, CA, Redwood City, CA or Coppell, TX.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Generate daily purchase orders or internal requisitions.
• Maintenance of past due purchase orders and PO acknowledgement.
• Expedite backorders and inventory replenishment to support customer requirements.
• Resolve any inbound receipt issues (VPS-vendor problem shelf).
• Process defective material returned from our customers, working with the supplier to determine warranty status and action MRB (Material Review Board) items, resolving all discrepancies.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field from accredited college or university with 2+ years of progressive work experience within purchasing, supply chain, or logistics functions in a corporate environment.
• Proven analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Working knowledge/familiarity with Oracle or similar MRP software navigation within the procurement and material management modules.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Proficient experience in Microsoft Excel.
• Agility working with regular changes and continuous improvement

The salary range for this role is $62K - $80K. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
