Jr Planner Needed in Moorpark, CA

Major Manufacturing Company is seeking a Jr Buyer for a Direct Hire opportunity. Please apply if this role is a good fit.

Pay Range = $60k - $73k/year

Preferred Qualifications:

• CPG experience
• Experience with planning in food, nutraceuticals, or cosmetics
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing planning, production scheduling, or related roles or Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related field
• Strong understanding of production processes
• Proficiency in using manufacturing software and ERP systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Summary

The JR. Planner plays a crucial role in supporting the production planning process to ensure efficient workflow, timely product delivery, and optimal inventory levels for our dynamic production environment. Working closely with the Planning Manager, the JR Planner coordinates the gathering of information with various teams to support the production schedule, processes change controls, maintains the material master and the Bills of Materials in the ERP system, and tracks and processes disposable authorizations.



JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in developing and executing daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on demand.

• Collaborate with procurement and production teams to ensure materials are available to meet production goals.

• Printing and distributing work orders for production and compounding.

• Process initiated change controls, including setting up or revising Bills of Materials within the ERP system, reviewing all required documents.

o Follow-up with various departments.

o Routing change controls for review and signatures.

• Log, route, and process disposable authorizations (DA's) requests to completion.

o Maintain disposal log.

o Follow-up on status of DA's.

o Process to warehouse for disposal.

o Data entry to relieve inventory.

• Monitor, create and maintain item master description in the ERP system by utilizing various system reports and tracking results.

• Assist Planning Manager and Sr. Planner with closing of work orders.

o Verify labor hours, machine hours and material usage.
