RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Saint Louis, MO that is seeking an Interim Accountant for a 1-2 contract role.Summary:We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Interim Accountant to join our finance team on a temporary basis. The ideal candidate will provide critical support during a transitional period, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial operations. This role is ideal for a seasoned accounting professional who thrives in dynamic environments and can quickly adapt to new systems and processes.Responsibilities:- Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS)
- Month-End Close: Lead the month-end closing process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Oversee and manage the AP/AR processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments
- General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation and analysis of budgets and forecasts, providing insights into financial performance
REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification is a plus
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment; Previous experience in an interim or temporary role is beneficial
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel; Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with various levels of management
- Adaptability: Ability to quickly learn new systems and processes, and work effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
