Responsible for performing a broad spectrum of Maintenance cleaning, preventive maintenance, and minor repairs related to Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) initiatives. Utilizes knowledge of mechanical, plumbing, electrical and control systems skills. This position may be required to perform work outside of normal business hours with advance notice and planning.
Performs routine IAQ maintenance on all HVAC mechanical systems, including but not limited to heating/cooling coil cleaning, duct cleaning, supply/return vent cleaning, and other related HVAC interior equipment/surface cleanings. Work will be assigned either by routine PM tickets or requests from IAQ team campus partners. Receives and completes training from campus IAQ experts and other relevant professionals on proper methods equipment, tools, and materials for HVAC cleaning.
Other related work as assigned. Responsible for and operates departmental vehicle as assigned. Climbs ladders, works in confined/tight spaces and work with various chemicals using proper PPE as it pertains to the work environment.
Completes required safety training and complies with all safety standards including, but not limited to: lock out-tag out, confined space safety, safe handling of hazardous chemicals, participation in campus safety teams, and wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE). Reports complex and/or unusual problems to the supervisor and coordinates with other Maintenance staff as required to complete complex tasks.
QualificationsHigh school diploma/equivalency and two years of experience related to the duties of this position; or a combination of post-high school education and experience equal to two years related to the duties of this position.
(Note: Technical or vocational degree in appropriate building trade area may substitute at an equivalent rate.)
A valid State of Florida or Georgia driver's license or the ability to obtain prior to hire.
