Head of Business Performance Controlling (BPC) Point of Care Diagnostics
In this pivotal role at Siemens Healthineers, you will lead a small team where you will be responsible for driving profitable growth reporting to the CFO of Diagnostics Point of Care business line. Your primary focus will be on creating transparency for all relevant finance KPIs, tracking actions proactively, managing profit, and providing strategic oversight. This is a role well suited to an experienced and ambitious finance leader, with deep controlling expertise looking for the next step in their career.
As Head of BPC for our Point of Care Diagnostics business, you will lead a small team and will be responsible to collaborate closely with the business and members of the finance management team to ensure consistent application of accounting standards, financial policies, regulations, and financial processes across Diagnostics, its legal entities and finance departments. You will orchestrate and drive effective Risk Management and assurance processes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Shaping the Future:
- Partner with the H ead of Diagnostics Finance and Head of POC Diagnostics
- Develop and implement leading and lagging KPIs to measure the impact of BL-specific strategic action plans to drive sustained business success.
- Drive business improvements and create additional value for the organization by implementing state-of-the-art controlling and reporting processes, supported by a digital mindset.
- Participate actively in the POC Finance management team.
- Development of digital finance strategy and digital finance roadmap.
- Act as a role model for the financial community, developing, promoting, and mentoring talents.
2. Ensuring Flawless Execution:
- Provide full transparency of the global P&L (Profit & Loss), directly impacting our financial performance including preparation of FC calls, Performance Dialogues with the head of Diagnostics and monthly commentaries.
- Responsible for monthly and quarterly close/forecast (income statement, balance sheet, cash), including data integrity, FX analysis, data consolidation and validation across various tools.
- Orchestrating the yearly budget process for Point of Care Diagnostics, including target setting and executive management presentations.
- Take responsibility for BL (Business Line) controlling, initiating, and tracking actions in case of FC/BDG deviations and monitor progress of strategic important projects.
- Orchestration of risk management workshops and process, creation of transparency regarding the risk situation, reporting and controlling of identified risks by appropriate mitigation measures, and fulfillment of associated legal requirements.
- Management of productivity tracking for the POC business and its global organization
3. Focusing on the Basics:
- Analysis and appraisal of business performance, underlying operational KPIs, and relevant internal and external developments. profitability and growth analysis, performance commentaries, presentations, bridges, currency calculations, annual impairment testing
- Ensure Actuals, FC and Budget for specific Legal entities are intact
- Building, motivating, and developing diverse high-performance teams. Resilient, humble, and role-modeling growth and learning. Leading from the front, delegating, and holding self and others accountable to stretch goals.
- Ability to handle high pressure and challenge communications, strong prioritization capabilities.
Candidate Profile:
- To succeed in this finance leadership role, you should be self-motivated with a growth and change mindset. You should also be customer-focused, dedicated to adding value and capable of finding innovative solutions on your own initiative
- A goal and results-driven approach with a passion for digitalization in finance
- Excellent business acumen in relevant financial processes, value flows, and analytical skills
- Outstanding people management ability to coach, develop and motivate staff
- Executive presence and excellent communication and reasoning skills with the ability to interface with cross-functional stakeholders proactively and effectively
- Successful completion of economics/business administration university studies with significant finance/business administration experience and proven experience in a management role
Required skills to have for the success of this role
- Master's degree in business administration, Finance, Accounting
- experienced in reporting and closing processes
- Good Knowledge of Risk Management and Currency Management
- Required amount of travel: < 5%
- Broad experience in using common programs for data processing (including PowerPoint, SAP BW , Excel) and the Siemens Healthineers system landscape and value flows
- years of professional experience in international collaboration
