Job Summary:

This exciting opportunity is full-time, permanent with Converge Technology Solutions. The Front End Software Engineer role will guide, design and build front-end user experiences for our state-of-the-art Infrastructure as a Service platform, IBM Power for Google Cloud (IP4G). This role works with our team of backend engineers to completely renew the web UI experience for our users. We are experiencing explosive growth and invest heavily in our team members

Essential Functions:

• Build and own responsive interfaces for critical user journeys.
• Participate in, and/or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
• Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
• Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
• Collaborate with SRE resources on product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
• Establish architectural principles, select design patterns, and collaborate with development team members
• Partner with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, design, security, compliance etc.) to bring ideas to life

• Strong grasp of web application testing practices and tools like Jest, Cypress, and code-coverage instrumentation
• Proficiency in code and system health, diagnosis, resolution, and test engineering
• Self motivated with experience working on a remote team.
• Familiarity and experience with the Google Cloud, Go, Python, OAuth, OpenAPI/swagger are highly desired.

Education and Experience:

• 10+ years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, with a concentration in front end development.
• 5+ years of experience across back-end such as Java, Python, Go, or C++ codebases, and front-end experience including HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript or equivalent.
