We are looking for a Financial Analyst, SEC Reporting who will join our team.

The Financial Analyst within our SEC Reporting team plays a critical role in the preparation of financial information to be released outside of the organization, accounting and reporting for non-routine and corporate functions, as well as certain budgeting, forecasting, business analysis and M&A activities. This position is involved in various cross-functional activities and has significant exposure to business unit and corporate leadership.

In this role you will :

• Operate as a key member of the team responsible for the preparation and review of financial statements and footnote disclosures included in the companies 10-Q and 10-K filings with the SEC
  
• Perform accounting and reporting functions for certain non-routine and corporate functions such as share-based compensation, pensions, legal, impairment, etc
  
• Perform periodic analysis of operational results, involving collaboration with various levels of business unit and corporate leadership
  
• Assist with certain accounting and financial reporting matters related to mergers and acquisitions
  
• Assist with certain accounting and financial reporting matters related to mergers and acquisitions
  
• Assist the company's external auditors with the completion of their quarterly reviews and annual financial statement audit
  
• Perform certain budgeting and forecasting activities
  

What you'll need to be successful:

• Bachelors Degree, Finance or Accounting
  
• 0-2 years of experience preferred
  

The ideal candidate for this role will be skilled at the following :

• Intellectual curiosity
  
• Financial and accounting aptitude, to analyze and evaluate financial information
  
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  
• Strong multi-tasking and organizational management skills
  
• Ability to work cross-functionally with various departments to address accounting and reporting topics
  

Some other nice to have's :

• CPA,MBA or other professional designation
  
• Experience with SAP R/3 and Hyperion Enterprise
  

The starting budgeted pay range for this role will generally fall between $65,900.00 - $77,500.00 per year. Scotts will consider various factors in determining the actual pay including your skills, qualifications, experience, and geographical location.
