Job Description: Financial Analyst (Healthcare/Medical Industry)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly analytical Financial Analyst with experience in the healthcare or medical industry. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting financial planning, analysis, and decision-making processes to drive business success. This role requires a strong understanding of the healthcare sector's unique financial challenges, regulations, and market dynamics.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Planning & Analysis:

• Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and budgets tailored to the healthcare industry.
• Analyze financial performance and key metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement.

Reporting & Presentation:

• Prepare detailed financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior management.
• Translate complex financial data into actionable insights to guide strategic decisions.

Healthcare-Specific Financial Tasks:

• Evaluate the financial impact of payer contracts, reimbursement rates, and regulatory changes.
• Monitor and assess operational costs, including clinical and administrative expenditures.
• Support revenue cycle management initiatives, optimizing billing and collections processes.

Market & Industry Analysis:

• Conduct research on industry trends, competitor performance, and market opportunities.
• Provide insights into the financial implications of emerging healthcare regulations and innovations.

Collaboration:

• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, clinical staff, and executive leadership, to align financial goals with organizational strategy.
• Partner with stakeholders to streamline processes and ensure efficient resource allocation.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. MBA or relevant certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA) preferred.
• Experience:
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Financial Analyst, with at least 2 years in the healthcare/medical industry.
• Familiarity with healthcare-specific financial processes, including payer contracts, regulatory compliance, and revenue cycle management.
• Technical Skills:
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
• Experience with financial software and healthcare-specific systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, or similar platforms).
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations, reimbursement methodologies, and cost structures.
• Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving, data analysis, and critical thinking abilities.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to present complex data clearly to diverse audiences.
• Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.

Preferred Attributes:

• Understanding of Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement policies.
• Experience with value-based care models or healthcare mergers and acquisitions.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
