Job Description:

Seeking a Field Tech Engineer to provide support for a Voice over IP (VOIP) modernization (VMOD) effort, including unified communications (UC) and contact center (CC) capabilities. As the Field Tech Engineer you will be responsible for conducting and supporting activities at the customer sites across the U.S. This role will require a significant amount of travel.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct site surveys to collect the information necessary to deploy the system (e.g., as-is and to-be floor plans, network, space/power available/needed, end user information, equipment to be decommissioned)

2. Prepare site survey reports, including the to-be rack elevations depicting cable / power runs)

3. Perform / support remediation activities (e.g., installing racks, conduit, cables)

4. Install equipment in the lab and/or customer site

5. Perform / support testing (e.g., equipment, configurations)

6. Uninstall / disposal of legacy equipment

7. Support end user migration (e.g., deskside and/or telephone support)

8. Perform other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

1. Network equipment integration and configuration

2. Support / troubleshooting

3. Device maintenance / updating

4. Site moves / new standups

5. Network routing

6. Network switching

7. Network trouble shooting

8. Voice gateways and protocols

9. Excellent written and verbal communication skills

10. Familiarity with the general IT practices and terminology

11. Highly responsible, team-oriented individual with very strong work ethic; self-starter

12. Technical document writing

13. College degree (B.A./B.S.) and at least five years of related network engineering/IT experience/field tech. (equivalent professional experience will be considered in lieu of degree)

14. U.S. Citizen with an active DoD Secret clearance or higher with ability to maintain at least a DoD Secret

15. Experience working on government contracts

16. Active CompTIA Security+ Certification is required (and must be maintained)

17. Voice telecommunications experience.

Education Requirements: College degree (B.A./B.S.) and at least five years of related network engineering/IT experience/field tech. (equivalent professional experience will be considered in lieu of degree)

Experience Requirements: ~5+ yrs.

Certification Requirements: Active CompTIA Security+ Certification is required (and must be maintained)

Security Clearance Requirements: DoD Secret or higher
