Job Summary:
The Electrical Engineer is responsible for the design, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and equipment within the manufacturing facility. This role requires a strong technical background in electrical engineering, with a focus on industrial automation and control systems. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in a manufacturing environment and a deep understanding of electrical systems and components.
Responsibilities:
- Design, install, and maintain electrical systems, including power distribution, motor control centers, and control panels.
- Develop and implement electrical maintenance programs to ensure equipment reliability and optimize performance.
- Troubleshoot electrical equipment and systems to identify and resolve issues promptly.
- Program and maintain Allen Bradley PLCs to control production processes.
- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to optimize production processes and improve overall plant efficiency.
- Oversee the installation and commissioning of new electrical equipment.
- Ensure compliance with all electrical safety standards and regulations.
- Manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proficient in Allen Bradley PLC programming and installation
- Experience in facilities engineering, including compressed air, water, hydraulics, vacuums, heating, and cooling systems
- Strong understanding of process control systems
- Knowledge of power distribution up to 4160V preferred
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Experience in the pulp and paper, plastics, or packaging industry preferred
