Divisional CIO, Industrial Power & Electrification
The divisional CIO for Industrial Power Systems Division (IPSD) and Electrification + Energy Services (E+ES) Division will provide technology leadership and support for over 20 global facilities across large and medium engine manufacturing, sales, marketing, services & parts, Caterpillar Defense, and aftermarket services supporting over 7,000 users. This role has end-to-end accountability for the Perkins brand from a digital experience perspective through the back office and factory floor.
This role will also support the E+ES division focused on building innovative solutions to help customers navigate the uncertainties that accompany the energy transition, including a portfolio of electrified products that are tailored by application and fully integrated with energy management solutions and the digital Caterpillar ecosystem. The E+ES division is taking a fresh approach to function as a start-up with the Caterpillar family to deliver rapid value through a composable architecture and experimentation in the market. In this role, the divisional CIO is responsible for managing ~150 people and $60M in technology spend for a globally dispersed team.
What You Will Do:
- Develop business-relevant IT strategies and roadmaps aligned to business value.
- Deliver tangible business value through technology solutions aligned to the business strategy and priorities.
- Provide thought leadership to proactively solve business challenges and issues.
- Manage operational stability, health, and availability of technology solutions.
- Protect the business and brands across cyber, risk and compliance requirements.
- Prioritize resources to achieve strategic business outcomes.
What You Will Bring (Skills & Experience): - Strategy development & execution: Experience leading, developing, socializing, and executing IT strategies and roadmaps across the enterprise. Act as an owner of the company with accountability, high integrity and transparency.
- Relationship Management : Collaborating and managing partner and peer relationships to achieve business outcomes by leading through influence and direct accountability in a matrixed environment.
- Customer-Focused: Strong business and financial acumen with a "customer back" mindset.
- Software Engineering & Development: Designing and building digital and technology solutions that strengthen the core business and pioneer the future with expanded offerings that grow services.
- Data & Information Enablement: Unleashing the power of data and information to manage the business, improve business results and outcomes.
- Operational Support: Supporting global, large scale manufacturing operations and aftermarket business models in a matrixed support structure 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- Talent Management : Adept at leading and inspiring global, multi-sourced teams to deliver high quality, transformational capabilities.
- Marketing & Communication: Excellent communication and conflict management skills.
- Financial Acumen: Strong financial acumen to manage annual business plans and execution.
Degree Requirement: - Degree or equivalent experience desired
Additional Information: - This role will be based on-site in Seguin, TX with ~20-30% travel
