Job Description Summary
Description Summary - Works with production management to ensure adequate supply of raw product is delivered and available to meet daily production demands. Coordinates the dispatching of third-party provider trucks to transport raw product from the filed or storage and deliver to plant location in accordance with delivery demands. Monitors in-bound trucks and communicates with drivers, plant management, and the third-party provider delays, issues, or problems. Analyzes transportation/delivery data to uncover inefficiencies and recommend solutions. Coordinates with raw receiving to ensure arriving trucks are met and offloaded quickly and effectively. Communicates with drivers and supervisors as required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Individuals in this position must:
- Participate in the safety engagement process. This includes giving I Care huddles, conducting area assessments, and addressing all safety concerns with the Production Team Lead.
- Must have strong knowledge of raw product and raw product storage
- Must have the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with management and hourly employees alike
- Compiles list of available vehicles
- Assigns trucks to deliver raw product to meet daily production demands
- Records time of dispatch, weight, destination, raw type, and expected time of delivery along with any other raw product related information.
- Investigates overdue vehicles
- Directs activities of drivers by two-way radio, computer, and/or voice communication
- Verifies service or delivery routes
- Manage trailers on site
- Do raw receiving and harvest reconciliation
- Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications & ExperienceThe requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this job. To successfully perform this job and individual must:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 1year related experience in dispatch and transportation preferred
- Potato processing experience a plus
- Equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Excel and computer aptitude including understanding of Microsoft suite, Google Maps, basic knowledge of how to read a map and basic data entry skills.
- Valid US driver's license
- Bilingual English/Spanish desirable
Education High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
