Responsible for IT Software Asset Management services and capabilities within the IT Asset Management Department of Infrastructure. This includes managing software licenses to optimize cost and maintain compliance. Ain addition to reporting and governing software lifecycle management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct IT Asset Management team in the full lifecycle management of organization's software assets.
  • Manage software licenses to optimize and maintain compliance.
  • Coordinate actions with sourcing/financial/purchasing LOB areas on proper recording of software purchases and licensing agreements/entitlements.
  • Create and maintain software models and entitlements.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of software assets, including version control, licensing details, and usage statistics.
  • Monitor organization's software usage and license compliance to ensure proper cost efficiencies and usage of technology assets. Includes appropriate software removal/reclamation activities.
  • Assist in the development/improvement of software asset lifecycle policies, processes/procedures, and workflows including deprovisioning and software re-harvesting.
  • Generate and maintain reports on licensing and lifecycle to ensure proper health of software asset management processes.
  • Provide inputs to and maintain a software renewal calendar.
  • Perform continuous improvement actions to strengthen IT Asset Management - SAM operations.
Experience Needed:
  • B.S. in Computer Science or related field required (or comparable professional experience)
  • 4+ Years Proven experience in IT Asset Management with a focus on software and licensing.
  • Solid knowledge and experience with ServiceNow, SAMPro platform experience preferred with some SAM tool experienced required.
  • Proficiency in using SAM tools and software license management platforms and Configuration Management (CMDB)
  • Strong understanding of software licensing models, compliance requirements, and industry best practices
  • Working knowledge of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), IT Service Management (ITSM) frameworks.
  • IAITAM, CSAM certification (preferred/recommended).
  • Strong organizational, quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to stay self-motivated and self-directed.
  • Ability to manage and lead team members in departmental projects and responsibilities.
The estimated salary range for this position is $130,000.00 to $150,000.00. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
