JOB DESCRIPTION

Wood's Operations Americas business is currently seeking a Manager of Digital Solutions reporting into our business development team located in the Houston, TX office.

The Manager of Digital Solutions will be leading the adoption of digital solutions for Operations Americas; a key enabler to growth and deepening strategic client relationships. Not only does this role require significant customer interaction to understand how needs can be met by the application of digital technology, but it also requires hands on delivery and implementation of solutions.

The Manager of Digital Solutions will grow revenue through sales of digital technologies as well as expand underlying margins from greater efficiencies in how we operate assets and deliver services. The role will work closely with the Consulting division to define and own a digital strategy for Operations Americas. It is also responsible for leading and managing the necessary third-party technology partners that will enable a compelling value proposition to our customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops a deep understanding of Operations Americas value proposition and delivery models to inform selection and application of digital technologies
  • Lead the development of the Digital Solution Strategy for Operations Americas existing and future portfolio of work
  • Responsible for assessing and solving for client needs as well as leading the implementation of digital solutions with client teams
  • Develop strong relationships and regularly communicate with product stakeholders, clients and partners to shape the product strategy.
  • Leads the third-party technology partnerships to manage cost and performance of solutions
  • Involved in industry forums and groups advancing digital solutions in the Energy Sector
  • Works closely with all Operations Americas P&L managers and G&D teams to identify and prioritize opportunities for digital growth
  • Strong technical understanding of technologies and digital trends. Passion for advanced analytics, emerging technologies and agile ways of working.
  • Determine the technical strategy for each product with the S2S and Ops Americas regional leadership team.


QUALIFICATIONS

The Manager of Digital Solutions is an active, ambitious person, comfortable in client facing sales environment with proven facilitation skills and experience in planning and conducting workshops that help teams and clients build a shared understanding of a problem and work collaboratively to define a solution. They have experience in managing third party suppliers and implementation of solutions with cost and project management in mind.

There is a strong preference to increase the number of developing professionals in Operations and hence this role is targeting those who are ~5 years into their Wood careers.

Qualifications:
  • Experience in a consultancy or project delivery role (technical sales, consulting, or senior IT project delivery)
  • Demonstrated experience in high performing customer facing technical teams to drive impact and influence sales
  • Experience working within innovation facilitation including delivering workshops
  • Experience in Maintenance and or Operations delivery role
Knowledge, skills and experience:
  • Ability to plan and deliver initiatives that surpass client expectations and secure direct client revenue.
  • Have excellent communication skills, actively listen to client needs, and translate this feedback back to product to develop high value solutions.
  • Significant experience and competence in operationally focused senior management roles within a complex international organization
  • Skilled at managing multiple, concurrent projects, meeting deadlines, and attention to detail required
  • Ability to deploy various methodologies to lead and run problem solving, brainstorming, design thinking and co-creation workshops, lead focus groups and design propositions and solutions
  • Ability to work cross functionally to drive outcomes that benefit our demand clients
  • Team player with a solution focused mentality
  • Ability to work in an agile manner, embracing and championing change
  • Strong relationship building skills with third parties, internal stakeholders and clients
  • Demonstrable commercial acumen and credibility
