We're seeking a seasoned Category/Procurement Manager to lead our client's dairy purchasing operations. This role offers a competitive salary and bonus that can total up to $140,000 in your first year, and the opportunity will report directly to the Director of Procurement/Category Management while managing a Dairy Buyer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain optimal dairy inventory levels.
- Resolve over-committed and urgent items.
- Increase inventory turns and resolve slow-moving inventory issues.
- Negotiate financial terms and ensure costing and pricing accuracy.
- Process returns and manage vendor billbacks.
- Communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
- Manage product quality issues and monitor expiration dates.
- High School Diploma (Bachelor's in Business Management, Marketing, or related area is a plus).
- 4+ years of dairy purchasing experience.
- 2+ years of supervisory experience.
- Strong negotiation, supplier relation, and inventory management skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Desktop computer skills.
