Opportunity Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Cybersecurity Culture & Engagement Specialist to join our team. This role is pivotal in shaping and delivering our cybersecurity messaging both internally and externally. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in program management and communication, a deep understanding of cybersecurity, and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, engaging messaging.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Implement messaging strategy for the BD Cybersecurity Trust Center and customer-facing product security communications, in collaboration with Cybersecurity and Product Security.
  • Program management and messaging support to enhance strategic external partnerships for key cybersecurity initiatives.
  • Develop and execute effective internal communications across the cybersecurity function and its services to facilitate a strong cybersecurity culture and increase engagement, including messaging for the company intranet, town halls, video scripts and presentations.
  • Develop executive messaging and reporting deliverables to facilitate engagement and foster a clear understanding of the company's cybersecurity strategy and program metrics.
  • Collaborate with leaders to develop compelling messaging to amplify the company's external cybersecurity engagement initiatives and commitment to advancing cybersecurity best practices across the healthcare industry.
  • Support the development of customer-facing communications about BD cybersecurity, including presentations and reports.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Communications to develop social media messaging to support the company's external cybersecurity engagement strategy.


Requirements

The ideal candidate will bring a combination of cybersecurity knowledge, content development and program management experience, and exceptional communication and analytical skills. In addition, the candidate should possess:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, communications, technology, or a related field with a passion for cybersecurity is preferred
  • 3+ years proven experience managing external partnerships or engagement programs
  • Knowledge of industry standards and frameworks (i.e., NIST Cybersecurity Framework 2.0)
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts and the ability to translate them for non-technical audiences
  • Ability to communicate complex business challenges in a clear and simplified manner
  • Excellent communication, writing and presentation skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
