About the Position:
We are seeking an entry-level Corrosion Engineer to join our growing Energy team in Atlanta, GA. This role offers the flexibility to work remotely. You will work under the mentorship of experienced engineers and contribute to multidisciplinary projects across various markets and geographies.

The qualified candidate will also get exposure to AC (Alternating Current) Corrosion, involving the use of modeling software to analyze electrical interactions between pipelines, powerlines, solar farms, wind farms, and more.

This role provides an excellent opportunity to learn about different aspects of the energy industry, collaborate with various teams, and contribute to projects beyond AC Corrosion.

Essential Job Functions:

• Create field plans and communicate with clients to prepare for field activities.
• Assist in Soil Resistivity Surveys as needed.
• Analyze large data sets and present findings effectively to clients.
• Learn and use CDEGS modeling software for AC interference studies and mitigation designs.
• Expand software knowledge and services as experience is gained.
• Write reports to summarize study results.
• Communicate study results and outcomes to clients.
• Collaborate with drafters to create drawings and Bill of Materials for mitigation designs.
• Participate in commissioning and installation of designs, as opportunities arise.

Qualifications:

• BS in Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment with a positive attitude.
• Strong multitasking skills and self-motivated to produce high-quality work.
• Interest in learning CDEGS modeling software.
• Desire to grow professionally and expand skillset.
• NACE/AMPP Cathodic Protection certifications are a plus but not required.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Additional Information

Many factors are considered when determining compensation at Pond, including scope and level of position, geographic location, candidate skill, knowledge and experience. Starting base pay may vary depending on these factors. We anticipate filling this position as a Corrosion Engineer I with a salary range of $65,600.00 - $99,800.00 .
