WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Corporate Counsel to manage legal matters and risks. To ensure success the Corporate Counsel needs to have sound knowledge and understanding of applicable laws and regulations. The Corporate Counsel will primarily be responsible for claims management, insurance matters, major contract reviews and communication with Korean HQs. Top candidates will possess outstanding advocacy and people skills.

Responsibilities:

• Advise executive, senior management on various matters such as legal rights, and new and existing laws
• Litigation management, such as product liability, employee/labor related, and advertising
• Maintaining knowledge of organization's operations and legal documents
• In-House corporate legal counseling on various legal matters, such as contracts and negotiations, risk management
• Protects the company against legal risks and violations
• Examines the legal issues related to new products and services
• Liaison with various external legal counsels and manages claims processes
• Legal communication with Korean HQs regarding claims management strategy
• Review and provide legal advice on various financing credit and loan agreements
• Examine and create drafts agreements, such as employment and vendor agreements
• Preserving all company records

Requirements:

• Juris Doctorate degree from accredited law school
• Bi-lingual (English/Korean), speak/read/write
• Strong ability to organize effectively and communicate clearly
• 2-5 years corporate in-house counsel (mid-large company)
• Experienced in various legal areas, disciplines
• Proficient understanding of business sensitivities and confidentiality

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional familiarity with Plumbing and HVAC industry

Pay Scale: $170,000 - $190,000 DOE plus Annual Bonus Opportunity!
