Job Description
The CWS Contracts & Procurement Analyst will support various functions, including but not limited to, support functions for customer and supplier contract negotiations for cradle to grave contract functions (Contract lifecycle), manage supplier/subcontractor relationship management to align with various customer Information Technology (IT) programs; maintain contractual and procurement processes from inception of proposal until closure of program/project activities (including invoicing); and collaborates with key stakeholders regarding all aspects of customer and supplier contractual requirements.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
*Partnering with key internal stakeholders to nurture and develop relationships with CWS supply partners (including subcontractors) to optimize supply base performance.
*Developing a strategic plan to maximize value for assigned categories based on understanding of business needs, market research, benchmarking, price availability, etc.
*Leading design and implementation of insights and analytics sourcing plans and strategies and developing a comprehensive Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM) program.
*Leading the supplier benchmarking and bidding process; negotiating pricing/terms and conditions, collaborating with Director of Contracts & Procurement and final contract award implementation; and proactively managing customer and supplier/subcontractor contract life cycle to prepare the company for contract negotiation renewals.
*Maintaining adequate sources of services/supply to ensure contract requirements are met with optimum quality, service and cost-to-use.
*Driving the tactical execution of day-to-day plan to deliver consistent and sustainable savings.
*Providing innovative sourcing solutions to the company teams by bringing continuous improvement and market-driven innovation and offering credible alternatives where applicable.
*Performing all procurement activities including pre-qualification, negotiating supplier agreements, customer contracts negotiation and management.
*Identifying areas for improvement to continually drive performance and business results.
*Managing overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of procurement for the organization.
*Developing strong relationships with business stakeholders and strategic supply partners to improve business.
*Assist Director of Contracts & Procurement with creating policies and procedures for risk management and mitigation.
*Assists Director with supplier diversity program by providing supporting metrics/data and market research to drive CWS subcontracting plan(s).
*Facilitates business participation in government procurements funding areas of small business categories.
*Performs other contract negotiations and administration of direct contracts as assigned.
Education & Experience
*Bachelor's degree in science or business (or other related degree programs).
*2+ years of experience in purchasing, sourcing, RFQ/RFP, customer contract negotiations.
*Ability to interface at all levels of the organization and with suppliers to solve problems.
*Financial and numerical skills.
*High-level of diligence.
*Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
*Exceptional talent in negotiating and networking.
*Solid knowledge of supplier or third-party management software.
*Exceptional communication skills with the ability to foster strong supplier relationships.

*This position is primarily a fully remote role within the St. Louis or Central Illinois areas with local office visits as needed.
*Travel to all managed sites may be required from time to time.
