In September of 2019, American Water was awarded a 50-year contract to privatize the water and wastewater utilities of U.S. Army Garrison West Point, New York. Our responsibilities include system capital investment, regulatory and environmental compliance, planning, asset recapitalization, and long term operations and maintenance. We will provide the water supply, treatment, storage, and distribution serving the installation's 4,000 cadets, 580 academic staff, and other visitors. The U.S. Army Garrison West Point water system includes both the Stony Lonesome and Lusk Water Treatment Plants and the Lusk Reservoir, nearly 400,000 linear feet of water pipe, over 200 hydrants, 1,000 valves, and 12 tanks. The wastewater treatment and collection system and includes approximately 200,000 linear feet of pipe, 1000 manholes, and 6 lift stations, and wastewater treatment plants at Camp Buckner and Target Hill. Job Details
Hourly pay range is between $26.00 - $ 42.13
The base salary range represents a good faith salary range for this position. This position is eligible for annual incentive pay and has the opportunity for continued salary growth. If you are hired at American Water your base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as market, geography, skills, education and/or experience. Primary Role
Coordinates, inspects and assists with the construction of new water treatment plant and distribution as well as wastewater treatment plant and sewer collection system components in accordance with approved construction and engineering specifications, policies and practices of the Company. Will utilize expertise in construction field management, quality assurance, quality control, and report documentation. Will serve as primary field contact between the Construction Manager and General Contractors for water and wastewater utilities.
