Asphalt Materials, Inc. is currently seeking an intern to spend this summer helping our Purchasing Department as a Supply Chain Analyst Intern.
Essential Functions
- Assisting in creating and developing proposals, bids, and purchase requests
- Understand and create tracking and communication processes for trucking, rail, and purchasing
- Assist in developing and implementing strategies for purchasing chemicals, raw materials, and trucking
- Will have exposure to multiple lines of business
- Helping the team complete compliance projects using excel
- Other duties as assigned
Education Qualifications
- Working toward a bachelor's degree or recent graduate in: Supply Chain Management, Marketing, Economics, General Business, or Related Fields
Skills and Abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite of products especially Excel and PowerPoint (should be familiar with pivot tables and v lookups, etc.)
- Willingness to learn and be an excellent team player
- Attention to detail
