Job Description:


The Cloud Engineer is responsible the design, configuration and operational aspects of Cloud based core services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud infrastructure, with specific experience in AWS or Azure. Additionally, the candidate should possess expertise in cloud automation tools and infrastructure as code, such as Terraform or Ansible. Additionally, the Cloud Engineer works closely with the firm to understand business requirements, identify priorities and develop roadmap and implementation plans for cloud-based solutions.

• Complete lifecycle management of key infrastructure systems in the cloud:
  
  • Design, implement, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure solutions on AWS or Azure.
    
  • Utilize cloud automation tools such as Terraform or Ansible to deploy and manage infrastructure as code.
    
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to design and build continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
    
  • Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
    
  • Ensure security and compliance best practices are followed in all cloud deployments.
    
  • Provide technical guidance and support to other team members on cloud infrastructure and automation tools.
    
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in cloud technologies and automation tools.
    
  • Respond to leadership strategies or business requirements by designing, planning, building, supporting and maintaining infrastructure using a 'cloud first' approach.
    
• Assist with strategic and tactical technology projects as required
  
  • Apply technical proficiencies in cloud systems to defined project objectives.
    
  • Adhere to defined project management guidelines including scoping, capacity planning, time entry, KPI's, milestones and dashboarding to keep leadership informed on status.
    
• Compliance, security and business continuity management
  
  • Participation in security compliance efforts and reporting for applicable industry frameworks including but not limited to SOC, HIPAA, CMMC, etc.
    
  • Assist with automation of patching and vulnerability management for cloud workloads
    
  • Develop, implement, monitor and audit required back-up and recovery procedures to ensure requirements are being met.

Qualifications:

• Associates Degree required, Bachelors Degree preferred.
  
• Certifications in AWS (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect) or Azure (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
  
• Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
  
• 3 - 5 years of experience required.
  
• Ability to prioritize, be attentive to details, and maintain confidentiality, while providing exceptional client service and quality.
  
• Demonstrated effective leadership skills, along with organizational, analytical, problem-solving and computer skills, written and verbal communication skills
  
• A sense of urgency and a commitment to quality and timely completion of projects
  

The compensation range for this role is $53,830 to $116,640. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
