Basic Job Functions:
- Quality control, visual inspections, checking dimensions and angles of parts.
- Operate multiple break press machines, iron worker, welder, and powered hand tools.
- Material handling primarily using a forklift and overhead crane.
- Accurately follow run order for parts.
- Daily and routine maintenance, including checking fluid levels, look for leaks, ensure drive cylinders are tight and E-Stops are working correctly.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Effectively communicate with upstream and downstream teammates about status of work
- Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- WQ1 (2G) weld certification
