Job Description Summary
The Penn Center for Cancer Care Innovation (PC3I) is seeking a fulltime Clinical Research Coordinator B to implement day to day operations for innovative research projects and strategic initiatives. Founded at the Abramson Cancer Center at the University of Pennsylvania, PC3I is embedded at the nexus of research and practice. Our mission is to create, test, and scale solutions to improve how we care for patients with cancer. We bring together diverse experts to improve health outcomes, increase healthcare efficiency, reduce cost growth, and apply the latest science to make cancer care better for our patients, providers, community, and partners.
Job Description
This individual will work under general supervision. This person will implement day to day research activities for complex pragmatic trials and other projects with oversight from PC3I leadership, project principal investigators, and project managers. The person will 1) develop project documentation, including portions of project plans, study protocols, standard operating procedures, and IRB and other regulatory documents; 2) execute research project activities by initiating study procedures; conducting and overseeing recruitment, screening, enrollment, and follow-up procedures for study participants; and coordinating primary data collection and preparation; 3) draft reports, memos, abstracts, manuscripts, presentations, and proposals; and 4) coordinate meetings and track project tasks and deliverables; and implement other PC3I activities as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and 2-3 years of research experience in a clinical or academic setting or equivalent combination of education and related experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong organizational skills and attention to detail; demonstrated ability to problem solve and identify and utilize available resources; demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently and coordinate project inputs and stakeholders; strong interpersonal skills, judgment, and diplomacy to work effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholders; proficiency with standard office software (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Preferred qualifications: knowledge of software for reference management (e.g., EndNote, Zotero), electronic data capture (e.g., REDCap), content management and collaboration (e.g., Box, Smartsheet), websites (e.g. WordPress), and design (e.g., Adobe InDesign, Photoshop).
