While engaged in practice and teaching, our faculty are dedicated to establishing new knowledge as the basis for future practice and prevention, and to the greatest extent possible applying that knowledge to improve care for all and reduce health disparities.Dr. Karl Lorenz, Professor of Medicine, is seeking a full time Research Assistant to function in the role of dedicated Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) to work on a multi-site palliative care clinical trial (e.g., SCOPE) involving high-risk patients diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) at the Stanford Hospital and Clinics (SHC). While the SCOPE trial is estimated to require more than half of the RA's estimated time, other activities that the RA may support will encompass data science and technology related research and thus training and experience is desirable related to assisting with telephone surveys, maintaining high quality data collection practices, managing survey datasets, assisting with development and validation of electronic phenotypes, conducting literature reviews, piloting patient level interventions, applications of virtual reality for health, assisting with writing, publication, and dissemination of results, assistance with preparation, submission, and administration of grantmaking.Duties include:
