Summary: Primary assignment will be the performance of clinical laboratory testing utilizing Mass spectrometry methods. Provides assistance in the validation of new clinical assays including data analysis utilizing software tools. Maintains laboratory operations in compliance with applicable regulatory guidelines. This position will include additional cross-training assignment in another area of the clinical laboratory based on experience and operational need. Provides technical supervision and training to subordinate-level staff members; performs simple and complex laboratory test procedures in a timely manner as assigned; obtains and interprets data for diagnosis and treatment of disease; performs related laboratory technology duties.

Salary range for this position is $64,772 - $74,135 annually which includes a comprehensive benefits package. This position also offers a geographic differential of $4.60 hourly and an assignment differential of $4.00 hourly for a total salary range of $82,709 - $92,072 annually.

Qualifications:Required Education and Experience

1. Possession of a full license to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist in the State of New York; or
2. Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Technology or a related health care discipline and eligibility for full licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist in the State of New York.

NOTE:
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have the following skills/experiences:

• Experience with LC-MS/MS methodologies
• Experience with NYS CLEP method validation and Laboratory standards
• Experience with statistical packages, analytical/ mass spectrometer and other software programs
• Project management skills/organization
• Excellent verbal/written communication
• NYS license/Eligibility
• Other relevant Clinical laboratory experience
