• Purchase raw materials, lab supplies, scientific equipment and services, office/business supplies based on planned usage and inventory requirements.
• Checks requisitions, obtains quotes, reviews and/or negotiates pricing.
• Evaluates vendor reliability; develops new supply sources as required.
• Coordinates purchasing activities with other departments to maintain inventory and supplies at planned levels.
• Expedite orders as necessary to ensure on-time delivery.
• Identify actual and potential delivery problems and take proactive steps to inform appropriate personnel.
• Coordinate the disposition of defective or unacceptable goods and make appropriate corrective measures.
• Track progress of orders/backorders and effectively communicate with internal customers on the status of incoming
• Strong attention to detail, organizational, written, and oral communication skills.
• The ability to multi-task in a fast paced, changing environment and work well as part of a team.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office Skills, most critically Excel.
• Knowledge of FDA Quality System Requirements, cGMP and ISO Standards
