Job Summary:

Join the Electrification team of Cat Digital and be responsible for gathering stakeholder's requirements around Electrification services, analyzing large and complex datasets, and providing insights through developing dashboard to support new products and services decision-making.

What You Will Do:

  • Analyze and extract meaningful data from multiple sources and develop essential datasets for reporting.
  • Review data & testing new dashboard for new service pilots (completeness of information, correct calculations, and proper execution.)
  • Identifying user/client requirements for data visualization and defining technical specifications; Preparing technical documentation and sharing them with senior analysts and technical teams.
  • Collect user feedback and make improvements as part of a rapid iteration process
What You Will Have:
  • Basic Data Analysis: Knowledge of business data analysis; ability to extract and ingest (e.g. Postman calls, SQL queries, python pipelines, etc.), identify, analyze and interpret business data using various kinds of techniques to meet business needs and requirements.
  • Speed to Output: Thrive in an agile working environment of quick turns and frequent iteration
  • Requirements Analysis: Knowledge of tools, methods, and techniques to elicit, analyze and record required business functional and non-functional requirements, to ensure the success of dashboard development.
  • Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.
  • Effective Communications: Ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, requirements, and processes in a manner appropriate for the intended audience
  • Database Development: Basic skills to set up databases to store data needed to support dashboards.
Considerations for Top Candidates:
  • Dashboard Development: Ability to develop internal and customer facing dashboards in Tableau or PowerBI. Such dashboards may be used as an initial step in validating user needs as part of product development.
  • Product Design and Development: Knowledge of product features; ability to design, build, and develop a new product, technology, or service from concept through to production.
  • Feature Documentation: Knowledge of technical writing; ability to write detailed produce requirements for new operational and application-based features.
  • Research Analysis: Knowledge of the concepts, methodologies and methods of user and ethnographic research; ability to locate, interpret and evaluate research findings compiled and documented by others.

Additional Information:

This position has the option to be based out of either our Chicago, IL or Peoria, IL offices with a flexible hybrid office environment.

Summary Pay Range:
$95,640.00 - $143,520.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
