Opportunity
The Product Manager is responsible and accountable for delivering data solutions to Rehlko's employees to drive efficiency, business agility, cost savings, and innovation through effective decision- making. The product manager will collaborate with Product Owners or project champions to ensure the technical roadmap of the product meets business outcomes.
This is a technical role; hence it is expected the Product Manager continuously invests in learning and stays on par with the latest in Data, Analytics, and Data Science approaches, solutions, frameworks, technology offerings, and best practices. The PM will work under minimal supervision but under the guidance of a senior resource on one or several products from the KOHLER Data Platform Portfolio, for which it needs to:
- Lead Discovery and facilitate design sessions with users, stakeholders, and executives to understand the most critical business problems to solve (WHAT), understand the user/customer (WHO), and the impact the problems are having in business (WHY); and gain stakeholder alignment on being focused on the right problem.
- Work with other Product Managers, Senior Product Managers, and IT Managers to define an end-to-end Product Strategy, which includes but it is not limited to the Product Lifecycle (definition, ideation, development, maturity, phase out), how Product Usage and Adoption will be measured, how ROI (Return on Investment) will be realized, and how customer satisfaction will be assessed during the life of the product/feature.
- Drive change management across diverse functional areas when introducing data solutions that will affect the way individuals work; and get users' commitment to adopt new solutions and to change their business processes if needed.
- Create and maintain a year-long rolling quarter Product Roadmap that outlines product delivery plans including milestones, and tentative release dates.
- Actively work on defining the technical solution for the business problem in collaboration with the Architect/Lead Developer, including test plan, warranty period and support plan, and engagements with Data Governance.
- Mockup, prototype, and test solutions in an agile fashion to rapidly deliver business value.
- Manage cross-functional communication with stakeholders, SMEs, and IT Data and Analytics Leaders on Product Roadmap updates, releases, support/production issues, and decisions that impact several business and technology areas of the company.
- Generate User Documentation (how-to, User Guides, data dictionaries, etc.).
- Intake, investigate, and prioritize support issues for the Product during the warranty period.
Skills/RequirementsEducation:
- Undergraduate Degree in one or a combination of the following: Business, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or Business Analytics.
- Master's Degree in any of the earlier disciplines strongly preferred.
- Certifications: Azure Fundamentals, Azure Data Fundamentals, CSPO, SAFe PO/PM are considered a plus. If not obtained, the candidate is expected to obtain one of these within the first 90 days of employment (Kohler provides training).
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of work experience in a technology role.
- 2-5 years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, Product Manager, or Product Analyst.
- Has worked with Agile development teams for at least 1 year.
Preferred Experience:
- Data visualization in any BI tool or code library.
- Experience defining, creating, delivering, and maintaining data and analytics solutions in the cloud.
- Exposure to modern enterprise systems such as Warehouse Management Systems, Enterprise Resource Planning, Marketing and Sales Clouds, or enterprise reporting environments.
- Data Analysis in Excel, SQL, Python, R, or any combination of these.
- Understanding of modern data ecosystems, data management, data governance, and data products (cloud data warehousing, analytics in the cloud).
- Experience in implementing end to end AI solutions (concept to adoption) highly preferred.
