Salary: $65,000.00 USD Annually - $75,000.00 USD Annually
Description:
Judge Direct Placement is seeking a LOCAL Assistant Quality Assurance Manager for a growing consumer products manufacturer in Pennsylvania. The qualified individual will work closely with the QA Manager. They will be responsible for the supervision of the Quality personnel. This role will ensure compliance with all customer, company, consumer and regulatory quality requirements. The Assistant QA Manager provides direction in regards to developing and implementing quality systems for the food production within the site. The candidate will also be responsible for all food safety procedures to maintain a safe and quality product. Responsibilities and requirements to successfully perform the duties of this job are listed below:

Responsibilities:

Supervises Quality staff

Works with Operations, Maintenance and Sanitation to ensure the production of safe, quality food

Performs investigations, establishes corrective actions, and handles all deviations

Identifies product improvements

Establishes product and process sampling testing justifications

Establishes standards and objectives for product, equipment and the plant environment

Works closely with production and maintenance to identify work orders

Enforce company policies effectively and in a timely manner

Ensures compliance with all applicable regulations and statutes governing employees

Implements coaching and development plans for direct reports

Prepares performance evaluations for direct reports

Manages and organizes information for accuracy and readability

Implements preventative and corrective action plans

Assists with reviews of quality procedures and programs

Updates and posts product technical information

Communicates product customer approvals

Enters product hold information into Access database

Assists in consumer complaint investigations

Ensures food safety and quality standards are always maintained

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Food Science or related field preferred

3+ years in the CPG, Food or Beverage

2+ years of Quality Assurance experience

HACCP, SQF, BRC, ISO 22000 or ISO 9001 experience a plus

Sound leadership skills with a history of success stories

Self-motivated and willing to learn

Ability to work independently or in a team environment

Requires flexible hours including off shift hours

Statistics & process control understanding and execution

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Proficient with Microsoft office Suite
