The Department of Psychology at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the areas of Clinical or Community Psychology. We are particularly interested in candidates who specialize in the development and implementation of interventions that address mental health disparities and promote health equity. Candidates should have expertise in understanding the bases of health disparities and have a program of research that will inform the development, dissemination, implementation, and/or evaluation of culturally-informed interventions aimed at improving the well-being of underserved communities and promoting mental health equity. Areas of content specialization are open. Candidates should show evidence of research productivity, teaching and mentorship effectiveness, and potential for external funding.

Successful candidates are expected to establish and maintain an active and independent research program, teach effectively at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, and provide service to the department, the university, and the profession. A Ph.D. in Clinical, Community, Clinical-Community Psychology or a related field is required. The target start date is August 16, 2025, but is negotiable. The budgeted salary range for the position is $96,500-99,000 for a 9-month service basis.
