Winthrop University invites applicants for a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor of Chemistry with expertise in organic or inorganic fields, especially with emphasis in green/environmental chemistry, for employment to begin August 2025. The Department of Chemistry, Physics, Geology, and the Environment (https://www.winthrop.edu/cas/chemistry/) hosts ACS-approved and ASBMB-accredited undergraduate programs in chemistry and biochemistry, focused on inclusive excellence and year-round, national-caliber undergraduate research. The successful candidate will join a collegial environment that includes 10 other full-time chemistry/biochemistry faculty and two support scientists housed in modern facilities, with excellent instrumentation for teaching and research. Opportunity exists to join faculty teams in ongoing NIH INBRE Biomedical Science and NSF EPSCoR Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning research initiatives and to collaborate with colleagues working in environmental and materials science fields.Review of applications will begin on October 25, 2024.
