This position is responsible for manufacturing and testing various components of complex medical devices in accordance with quality standards, safety guidelines, and established procedures. The Assembly Operator will perform functions such as preparing product, loading/unloading molds, assembling parts, packaging finished products, and performing quality assurance tests to ensure adherence to all specifications. Responsible for working within a team environment, with minimal supervision, while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.

Duties:

  • Manufacture and test components for use in medical device products according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Prepare raw materials for production, load/unload molds, assemble parts, package finished products, and conduct quality assurance tests to ensure adherence to all specifications.
  • Ensure all components are inspected for damage and defects prior to assembly.
  • Follow visual aids or written instructions to perform routine tasks.
  • Complete documentation as trained.
  • Visually inspect products at various stages of production to detect defects and ensure conformance to product specifications.
  • Work safely at all times and comply with Environmental Health and Safety standards and work practices along with all other work rules.
  • Maintain good housekeeping practices on the shop floor; clean up after each process step and return tools and equipment to designated areas.
  • Actively promote a positive work culture through Company Values of Safety, Integrity, Quality, Service, Innovation, and Teamwork.
  • Must be able to engage with others in a positive and constructive manner that is conducive to good teamwork in a fast-paced environment.


Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Basic reading, writing, and math skills required.
  • Basic PC skills (opening and closing programs, keyboarding skills) required.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Must be able to lift weights of approximately 40 pounds frequently throughout shift.
  • Position requires walking, standing, and lifting over 50% of the time.
  • Work area is on the manufacturing floor.
