Information Assurance Professional (IAP)

Cannonsburg, PA

Contract Position

$52.50-$57.50/Hour

Contribute to a company at the forefront of mission-critical systems and technologies in defense and security. This leader in global defense integrates advanced technology to deliver information and insights on the battlefield, offering roles that support security and technological superiority across multiple domains.

Responsibilities:

• Administer Information Assurance (IA) duties for Special Access Programs, including Assessment and Authorization (A&A) activities, system security assessments, and continuous monitoring.
• Develop and maintain security documentation, including System Security Plans (SSPs), Security Assessment Reports, SCTMs, and POA&Ms, in compliance with IA policies.
• Perform system audits, media reviews, and hardware/software configuration management to ensure security integrity.
• Execute security testing and evaluation to validate security control implementations.
• Support vulnerability assessment and mitigation throughout the system lifecycle.
• Conduct IA security training for system users, emphasizing risk mitigation strategies.
• Manage incident response actions and ensure compliance with System Security Plans (SSP) for system operations and disposal.
• Assume ISSM responsibilities as needed, coordinating with IT staff to implement and maintain required configurations.
• Ensure system compliance and security through rigorous assessment, documentation, and monitoring within a high-stakes defense environment.

Qualifications:

• Education:
  
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or a related field, with 5+ years of relevant experience, OR a Master's degree with 3 years of relevant experience.
• Clearance:
  
  • Active or ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
• Certifications:
  
  • DoD 8140 IAM-II level certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CAP, GSLC) preferred or must obtain within six (6) months of hire.
• Technical Knowledge:
  
  • Comprehensive knowledge of NISPOM, JSIG, ICD-503, NIST SP 800-53, and CNSSI 1253.
• Skills and Expertise:
  
  • Proficiency in A&A activities, including security documentation and compliance audits.
  • Experience in executing security testing and vulnerability mitigation strategies.
